Our vintage piped cake is a chocolate fudge layer cake is filled with a chocolate Swiss buttercream. Our standard cake is topped with a buttercream swirls.

Our kitchen handles all 14 major allergens as recognised under EU food regulations. These allergens include:

  12. Sulphur dioxide and sulphites

  14. Molluscs (e.g., mussels, oysters, squid)

All cakes are produced in a kitchen that processes these allergens. While we implement thorough cleaning and preparation protocols to minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from traces of these allergens.

Specific Allergen Information
  1. Gluten (Wheat): All of our cakes contain gluten as a core ingredient.
  2. Nuts: Our kitchen uses a wide variety of nuts, including pecans, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts, and peanuts. Macaroons used in some cakes are made with almonds, and shared equipment may result in traces of any nut in any product.
  3. Dairy and Egg: All cakes contain dairy (e.g., butter, cream, milk) and eggs as part of their base recipes.
Suitability for Special Diets
  • Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Egg-Free, or Nut-Free Products: We do not offer cakes that are guaranteed to be free of gluten, dairy, eggs, or nuts.
  • Custom Dietary Requests: While we strive to accommodate specific dietary preferences, we cannot guarantee allergen-free products. Customers with severe allergies or sensitivities should exercise extreme caution.
Food Safety and Health Compliance
  • Our kitchen complies with all applicable food safety regulations as mandated by Irish and EU food authorities, including:

Travelling with your cake: we advise keeping your cake on a flat secure surface such as a car boot or the front passenger floor area of your vehicle.

All celebration cakes ordered are to be collected from your chosen location at the allocated time slot you selected when ordering the cake.

For the best cake experience, and to keep flowers looking fresh, we advise that all cakes be served on the day of collection. If you are collecting your cake the day before you intend to serve it, please keep your cake refrigerated overnight and serve at room temperature for optimal enjoyment.

Each celebration cake is crafted with precision and comes as described in its detailed product description. For an added touch of glamour, you can select ‘The Works’ for our signature The Fox & The Flour finish. Alternatively, you can opt for a personalised design by choosing our “Showstopper Cake” option.

CAKE COLLECTIONS

All of our celebration cakes are available for collection only. You can choose your pick-up location when placing your order. We currently offer one pick-up location:

Collection Details
  • Orders must be picked up on the date and within the allocated time slot selected at the time of ordering.
  • If you are unable to collect your order on the scheduled date, please email thefoxandtheflour@gmail.com in advance.
  • Orders that are not collected on their designated pick-up date are not eligible for a refund.
Customer Responsibility for Collection
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring that their cake is transported safely. Once the cake has been collected, we are not liable for any damage caused during transportation. Please refer to our ‘Care Instructions’ for advice on proper handling and storage.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Refunds

Our cakes are made to order using fresh, perishable ingredients. Once a cake leaves our premises, we cannot accept responsibility for damages caused during transportation or storage.

If you are unhappy with your order, please contact our team at thefoxandtheflour@gmail.com within 72 hours of collection and include the following details in your email:

  • Name and order number
  • Detailed photos of the cake and its packaging
  • A brief explanation of why you are dissatisfied

Emails received after the 72-hour window will not be reviewed due to the perishable nature of the product. We will investigate your concerns and provide a response within 3-5 working days.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be submitted no later than 72 hours before your collection date. To cancel an order, email us at thefoxandtheflour@gmail.com.

  • Our cakes are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens, including nuts, gluten, dairy, and eggs. While we take steps to minimise cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free product.
Dietary Requests
  • Special dietary requests must be communicated during the ordering process. We will do our best to accommodate your needs but cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled.
CUSTOM DESIGN REQUESTS

While we strive to meet your customisation requests, please note the following:

  • Specific design elements may vary slightly due to the nature of handmade products.
  • Inedible decorative items (e.g., ribbons, toppers, flowers) may be used for some designs. These must be removed before consumption.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
  • We are not liable for damages caused to the cake once it has been collected from our premises. This includes issues related to transportation, storage, or mishandling.
  • In the unlikely event of a mistake on our part, our liability will be limited to the cost of the cake.
FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for failure to fulfil an order due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, transportation disruptions, or government restrictions.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Republic of Ireland.
